Well Christmas was quite nice. I got a lovely home made purse from Louise and various treats in said purse, such as gum and an iTunes giftcard (which I used to buy an album by One Night Only and some Harry Potter score).
I got the book Firefly: Still Flying from Sherri, and Eclipse from Susie (even though we bought that a few weeks ago).
Then we went to my mom's and I got Kyle XY seasons 2 and 3, The Tales of Beedle the Bard by JK Rowling, Lissie's album Catching a Tiger, pajamas, The Time Traveler's Wife on dvd, and a sweater that I unfortunately already own.
Dave gave us each a card addressed to his "sons" haha. It's an inside joke in my family to call each other boys, so Dave got us cards saying how "now you've grown into a fine young man". It was hilarious.
It didn't snow until yesterday but I don't mind. I've spent yesterday and today basically either playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 or watching Kyle XY. I actually decided to shovel the patio out back just so I could get sunlight for an hour.
Maybe I'll actually get something done this week? (Probably not).
But I've been thinking since I've been watching so much Kyle XY. I first started the show when I was in middle school and it ended around halfway through my junior year. I used to think they portrayed teens so horribly, but now it's like whoaaaa. Especially Lori Trager. I hated her the most because I thought she was so unrealistic. But now she's like my favorite because she is exactly like me. It's scary. Sarcastic and witty, oh my God, the writers actually know what they're talking about.
My biggest complaint used to be about how "no teen would say the word 'barfatorium'" (which lori trager did) and now, since I've complained about the word so much, it HAS BECOME PART OF MY VOCABULARY. I use it in sentences. What is my life?!
Anyway, strange rant over. I now go back to reading hayleyghoover's hilarious blog and hope that i can someday write like her. :)
Ps. Sarah finished Rebel Angels today and she started The Sweet Far Thing and I can't wait to talk about the stuff I've been holding in my brain since June.
That's all.
See you in 2011!
