Winnnndsday! (Because as I typed that title I thought it was Wednesday)

Hello, hello. At the moment I should be writing a 5 page essay that's due tomorrow but blogging is always much more fun. This probably won't be a very long post since I have class in half an hour, but I'll do my best.

Last Thursday I went with Sherri, Sarah Jo, and Eliot to see The Hunger Games at midnight. I'd never seen more people in Loews other than the Deathly Hallows Part 2 midnight premiere. People were dressed up or wearing THG t-shirts and every other word out of someone's mouth was Peeta. It was lovely suddenly realizing how big The Hunger Games really is.

Unfortunately we were sitting pretty close to the front, but it wasn't so close that my neck hurt. The trailers they showed were pretty great. I laughed at the Breaking Dawn trailer, even though I'm totally going to see it. Then I got really excited about Snow White and the Huntsman, and after that I actually cried at the Prometheus trailer. I've only seen Alien once, but that movie looks foiiine.

The Hunger Games movie was amazing of course. I wrote a "review" containing all my feelings here. It was better than I expected. There were just a few things I wish were in it, but movies will never be exactly the same as books.

The past week since then has been filled with me listening to The Hunger Games soundtrack multiple times, and tumbling millions of pictures/videos of Jennifer Lawrence just like everyone else on the internet. It's pretty wonderful.

Besides that, school, and work, I've watched a few new movies and I read a book. The movies included Elsewhere (meh), Restraint (Meehehhhh...I liked it whaaat), The Burning Plain (not bad), The Poker House (CRYING ALWAYS), and 2:37, which left me an emotional wreck. I'm planning on watching it again to get the full effect now that I know what's going on. I'd recommend it to...um...everyone. Except kids. Anyway, I basically watched a lot of movies starring J-Law and Teresa Palmer.

I also read Divergent by Veronica Roth. I saw it at WalMart for like $9, so I grabbed it. It kind of freaked me out because I had no idea which faction I'd choose if I had to. Dauntless sounds fun but I think I'd be one of those people who would end up dying within the first 10 minutes. I cried at the end and then found out it's becoming a movie, and the second book comes out soon! So, yay to that.

OH and Skins ended on Monday. I was a sobbing mess. But I really loved it. Man I hate when good shows end. ;__;

Not much else has happened; I just thought I'd update while I had some time.
Later alligatorssss.

Springtime!

Well, spring is finally upon us...sort of. It's still technically winter, but the temperature here in New England begs to differ. According to weather.com, it is currently 70 degrees outside. Let me repeat that, 70 degrees outside. It is absolutely beautiful. It's the kind of weather that makes me open the windows and blast the same 3 songs over and over, (which today include Monster by Kanye, Numb by Marina and the Diamonds, and Lost & Found by Katie Herzig).

I didn't have to walk home, thanks to my dad. We never really resolved the issue; I look at it is me forgiving him and letting it go. I was never one for staying angry at someone for too long. Later I have drawing class, which has been increasingly difficult but still totally awesome. After that I am hanging out with Susie for a while. The plan is to get Rita's (which I think is only in New England, but I could be wrong) for Italian Ice and then we're going to watch a few episodes from season 6 of Skins. The spring weather has brought back my love for that show. I spent a lot of my weekend watching it. Sarah Jo and I also went to the park yesterday and played hide and seek like children. I thought I would die from laughing so hard.

This weekend was just what I needed. I got some space away from this town and school and work, and now I'm happy to be back. I even learned how to ride a city bus on Friday. I'm thinking it's all going to work out.

Anyway, I just took a 20 minute break from writing this to make a playlist on Spotify. Now that my mind is distracted, I think I'll end on this happy note.
Bye!
