Actually even though it's a Monday today isn't so bad. I just wanted to make a quick post about my liiiiife.
Firstly, I read my first book of the year. Part of me is sad that I finished it in a day, but the other part could not resist going more than 5 minutes without knowing what happened next. The book was The Fault in our Stars by John Green. I spent the last 100 pages or so weeping uncontrollably, but it was an amazing book.
Second, I bought lots of new ~exciting things at Target over the weekend. This includes some adorable polka dotted tights, season 1 of The Vampire Diaries, some art supplies for Drawing/3D Design classes, and the first season of Gossip Girl, which I started watching recently on Netflix. I'm already addicted and am going to watch more after I'm done here.
Not much else happened; I finished my first week of school with hardly any homework, and I might have figured out my future over the weekend.
All in all things are going well. I need to stop writing because I'm really hungry and I need time to finish up some things before class later.
Adios

Getting through this winter
Hello hellooooo.
Well, it's hard to believe but January is nearly over! According to Wikipedia, this year's Blue Monday occurred on January 23rd. Fortunately, I spent the day at work and school and was way too busy to even think about being sad. I've been a bit stressed out since the new semester started but at least 3 out of 4 of the classes I'm taking will be super easy. Hopefully this means my GPA will suck just a little bit less.
I can't even begin to wrap my head around the fact that there's only a month left until we start getting warmer weather. February is usually my least favorite month, but I'm going to keep myself busy by drawing and/or watching Gossip Girl on Netflix. (I just watched the pilot yesterday and it's already got me hooked). After February is Sarah Jo's birthday, and The Hunger Games, and spring break! Typing this all out is making me super excited for spring to get here.
Until then, I'll just keep looking at old pictures with green grass and sundresses in them. This year is already better than 2011 was, so hopefully it will stay that way throughout.
All right, I'm off to watch more Gossip Girl (in which I ship everyone with each other). BYEYEYEYE!

Unfortunately I only read 22 books in 2011. Even more terrible is the fact that at least the first 20 were done while I was still in high school. I got busy with my job and school stuff I guess, which by the way, my grades totally suck. But 2012 is a new start and I'm planning on working my butt off this semester.
So, since about 2008 I've been creating blog posts on my various blogs that include a list of interesting things I did last year, and a list of goals I wish to accomplish this year. So here we go:
Things done in 2011:
1. I got into The Hunger Games, which was an amazing and sad series, but totally worth the read. (Thanks to tumblr and my younger sister Sarah for convincing me).
2. I helped my class pull a senior prank in which we covered the hallways in tape and sticky notes and other Dollar Tree items, and then went swimming at my best friend's house until midnight (and during this time was convinced to start watching Doctor Who).
3. I graduated high school and stayed out all night after the grad party.
4. Watched the final Harry Potter movie and cried all the way to the car.
5. Baked an obscene amount of cookies while snowed in during the crazy amount of snow we got here in CT.
6. Was introduced to the world of British television, including Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Catherine Tate Show, Sherlock, Skins, and more recently, Being Human.
7. Got my first job.
8. Finished my first semester of college.
9. I finally found a hair color that I like.
10. I found new bands to love, including Marina and the Diamonds, The Spring Standards, and Angus and Julia Stone.
11. I watched Parks and Recreation, which is literally the happiest show I've ever watched.
12. I started listening to podcasts.
13. I got an iPod that wasn't made in 2005!
14. I became a legal adult.
15. Saw Bon Iver live and it rained and was magical.
16. Went hiking a lot and tried new things.
17. Nearly drowned while tubing in a river but still had a great time.
18. Got most of my family to enjoy Doctor Who with me. ;)
19. Started a new drawing project.
20.I quit Glee. It was a proud moment.
Things to do in 2012:
1. Read 40 books.
2. Get my license.
3. Finish my drawing project, or at least continue it since I'm not sure it will be possible to finish within the year.
4. Get good grades in all my classes.
5. Save my money for school or traveling.
6. Try new things, i.e. I want to do more "adventures" like hiking in new places and such.
7. Exercise more.
8. See The Hunger Games movie at midnight.
9. Bake a cake...in the shape of a TARDIS or something, I don't know.
10. Finish my NaNoWriMo thing that I barely started.
11. Try a new hair color.
12. Start the sibling podcast my sisters and I always talk about.
Okay, I really wanted to start watching Miracle Day before I go to bed, so I'm going to hop off. I might add to the list of goals but for now these are all I can think of.
I had a wonderful year, and I hope everyone else did too.
Here's to 2012, let's make it a good one (since the world is ending in December anyway)!
